कालीबंगा राजस्थान के हनुमानगढ़ ज़िले का एक प्राचीन एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थल है। यहाँ सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के महत्वपूर्ण अवशेष मिले हैं। कालीबंगा एक छोटा नगर था। यहाँ एक दुर्ग मिला है। प्राचीन द्रषद्वती और सरस्वती नदी घाटी वर्तमान में घग्गर नदी का क्षेत्र में सैन्धव सभ्यता से भी प्राचीन कालीबंगा की सभ्यता पल्लवित और पुष्पित हुई। कालीबंगा 4000 ईसा पूर्व से भी अधिक प्राचीन मानी जाती है। सर्वप्रथम 1952 ई में अमलानन्द घोष ने इसकी खोज की। बीके थापर व वीवी लाल ने 1961-69 में यहाँ उत्खनन का कार्य किया। यहाँ विश्व का सर्वप्रथम जोता हुआ खेत मिला है और 2900 ईसापूर्व तक यहाँ एक विकसित नगर था।पुरातात्विक स्थल कालीबंगा, राजस्थान के हनुमानगढ़ जिले में स्थित है। हनुमानगढ़ से कालीबंगा की दूरी 30 किलोमीटर है। बीकानेर या हनुमानगढ़ से आने वालों के लिए पीलीबंगा से होकर जाना होगा। कालीबंगा, पीलीबंगा से मात्र पांच किलोमीटर दूर है। पीलीबंगा एक छोटा सा कस्बा है। पीलीबंगा में बीकानेर तथा हनुमानगढ़ से सीधी रेलसेवा उपलब्ध है। सड़कमार्ग भी है। Kalibanga is an ancient and historical site of Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.
