Construction Training Fund (CTF) is providing opportunities for a lot of people to make their career in the building and construction industry, Like Plant Operator Keith Edwards. Plant operators work with heavy machinery used on construction sites and roadworks. Keith has always had a fascination with large machinery since he was a kid growing up on farm farm. Keith learned to be versatile during his time working as a plumber in residential and then drainage and sewer. When it was time for a change, he pursued some specialised training and a great fit for a Plant Operator position. Major employers in the construction industry include earthmoving and civil construction contractors, private developers, and government authorities. Work projects vary in size and location with sites located in the city, suburbs, country and sometimes in remote areas. You can be employed on large construction projects and/or complete some short courses to add to your licenses; the more licenses you have to operate specific machinery the more variety you will have.
