Hello hello! I’m back with another animatic :D This one’s a little different as it’s “based” on a wonderful roleplay my friend Volo hosted for the last 3 and half months called Video Horror Story (VHS)! The roleplay was based on Analogue Horror, a delightful genre if you ask me. I’ve been non-stop talking about this game and some of the funny stuff that happens throughout it in my discord community server. GOD it was just so much fun I can’t elaborate enough on that- I say the animatic is “based” on the roleplay, but in reality, it was the animatic I used for my character, Yvaine (he/him), in his death that I ended up legitimately sobbing tears to because SOMEONE’S WRITING made me regret my horrible decisions /hj Yvaine had many fun little events in his side of the story that I wanted to compile into an even more fun animatic that just lead up to his death. His role in the story wasn’t meant to be entirely antagonistic or protagonist- but he was definitely an anti-hero of sorts. He caused trouble and was.. Quite the manipulator to some characters, but still had good intentions regarding some of his questionable actions- and helpful ones. ----------------- If you’re here to read the context of the story, I’ll do my best to give the general idea (the story’s been going on for the last 15 weeks, there’s way too much to explain and i’ve got a description to make.) VHS takes place in a place called “The Upended” where people from everyday life have been sucked into a place of horrors and creatures called “Fakes” that try to replace them in the real world. Our wonderful cast of 27 players (33 characters if you count NPCs) has their characters end up in this exact scenario! Half of the cast came from a “Hunt For The Missing”, directed by Beauregard (NPC), as sudden disappearances of people from towns and around the world are becoming more abundant. They gather at the cathedral and are suddenly sucked into The Upended. The other half… came from their homes and whatnot. :D They all end up in this creepy cathedral with tons of different locations and mysteries to be solved!! … as well as finding a way home- if they don’t die first. After some investigating, it becomes known to them that every other weekend a “Lights out” occurs where the lights in the cathedral go out, and the bright red moon goes dark- allowing the monsters that were titled “fakes” to roam around, seeking to well… basically kill off the cast.
