When we first got to the land in the late fall of 2020, we couldn't really fully appreciate the 40'x60' metal-clad barn that came with the property. Little did we know, it would really become the epicenter of lots of day-to-day activity—from designing and making cabinetry, to finishing siding, to even building a tiny house. To make it more aesthetically pleasing and multifunctional for us, we decided to renovate the exterior and to do the majority of the work ourselves. In this video, we'll outline the main costs for this (largely exterior) renovation, share how many hours of work were put into it, and what we "saved" by doing most of the work ourselves.
