This week: Mr. Dave pays a visit to the Aiming Higher Charity Ball at Blackpool Pleasure beach. Hosted by Radio Wave's Ged Mills, explains to Mooch TV about the fabulous Blackpool Based Charity. Aiming Higher was founded by parents of disabled children. We are a team of Practitioners, Parents and Volunteers. We support families of disabled children to attend social activities by ensuring easy access into buildings, hosting family events at suitable locations & subsidising the cost of activities. About the Charity: We have opened a new centre ‘Aiming Higher Central’ 231 – 233 Church St, Blackpool FY1 3PB close to the town centre. There is Soft Play and Sensory Room, Teenage Zone, cafe area, Boutique and Shabby Chic Shop, training and a parents room. We are offering inclusive after-school activities, Changing Place facilities, full hoisting and magnetic security Please contact us for our range of After School and Birthday Party Activities. Without doubt having a disabled child brings immense pleasure. However, due to the complexity of some of our children’s conditions many families find it difficult to access activities / holidays. Families experience many barriers and hardship and can even become isolated – suffering further hardship. The charity has gained the trust of hundreds of families. We maintain this link through family events newsletters and evaluations to ensure we are providing the activities those families of disabled children need.
