I decided to paint our Tarmac drive rather than have a new one laid down. Now finished I don’t regret the decision, it looks like a new drive. Really happy with the result. I spent just under £100 for the paint and the roller. Tip 1: Ensure you overcompensate for the amount. I had to leave halfway through the job because I didn’t have enough paint. I bought an extra 3 tubs and it took me less than 2 hours to finish 3/4 of the drive. Having too much gives you the confidence to layer it on thicker, you get a better coverage and it is quicker. Tip 2: Make sure you give the drive a good clean before applying the paint. I didn’t jet wash the drive, because I had done it a few days before. Give it a good sweep to get the loose tarmac up then jet wash it. Tip 3: Dont use all at once, leave some for a second and possibly third coat. Which i had to do three coats.
