#islamichistory #thekohistani #history In the early 1900s, when the Ottoman Empire was losing its grip over North Africa, Italy saw an opportunity to invade Libya. The Italo-Turkish War (1911–1912) ended with the Treaty of Ouchy (Treaty of Lausanne 1912), forcing the Ottomans to surrender Libya to Italian control. But what followed was not peace — it was colonial terror. Italy built concentration camps, destroyed villages, and executed thousands of Libyans who resisted their rule. And then rose a man who changed everything — Omar Al-Mukhtar, “The Lion of the Desert.” An old scholar turned freedom fighter, he united Libyan tribes and led a 20-year guerrilla war against the Italian army under General Rodolfo Graziani. His courage humiliated the fascist forces and inspired generations to fight for dignity and faith. This cinematic documentary explores: The background of the Italo-Turkish War Details of the Treaty of Ouchy (1912) The fall of Ottoman control in North Africa Italy’s brutal colonization of Libya The rise of Omar Al-Mukhtar and his resistance General Graziani’s crimes and concentration camps The final battle and legacy of Libya’s freedom movement 🎥 A historical retelling of faith, resistance, and honor.
