After a couple of months away from my BMW E28 project, I’m finally getting back to work on it! The car has been sitting while I focused on my Volvo 850R, but this weekend, it’s all about bringing new life to the E28. In the past few sessions, I’ve been tackling one of the biggest and messiest jobs - removing the thick factory underbody coating. It’s a slow process, but it’s the only way to reveal what’s really going on underneath and make sure the chassis is completely solid. Along the way, I’ve uncovered and repaired a few rusty spots, welding in fresh metal where needed to keep this old BMW strong for years to come. In this video, I’ll continue stripping off more of that stubborn coating and start working on one of the more critical repairs: welding a new piece of sheet metal onto the outer door sill. It’s a satisfying step forward that brings the car closer to being fully rust-free. If you’re into classic BMW restoration, welding, or just love watching old cars come back to life, make sure to stick around for this update. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe so you don’t miss future progress on the E28 and my other projects!
