My first ever router jig scribed & cut 🪚 to pieces concealer box, just to get it in was 5 pieces for the top & face panels. Dry screwed core frame made up & fitted tight & level to scribe up some 5mm ply templates. I had an old 27mm softwood plank that was heartwood, seemed good to bring the face panels forward at the time for the door meet detail 🫣, sappy painted one side, split down the middle & too narrow for both width dimensions 🫠🥴🥹🤤. Clogged 5-6 40 grit sanding discs to remove the paint, flatten the middle after width glue up. When initially routering the timber it seemed to vapourise the dark grain inherent moisture, but the plank had been sitting in a bone dry bin stores roof for years 🤷🏼‍♂️. Glued & semi flattened the centre crack line as it started to creak a bit when separate scribe panels where made 😮‍💨😤. Aggressively rasp filed back relief points & details as needed. All screw jacked forward for pack off positions to conceal the missing tiles from the back base of the bowl, level to the face of the cupboard. Turned out good eventually, days taken ⌚👀😖😣😬🤦🏼‍♂️ lol.
