How to set sag - dirt bike shocks suspension

Watch as I set up the suspension on my 2002 KX 250. This method can also be applied other bikes. In this video I discuss how to reset your bike to factory settings as a starting point for personal adjustments. This is especially useful if you just purchased a used bike and are unaware of what changes have been made by the previous owner. My bike was purchased from a smaller guy, but the suspension was set up for someone weighing about 250lbs. I discuss adjusting your compression dampening and rebound dampening on both your front forks and rear shock, I also cover how to adjust your sag by setting your spring preload. Air pressure can also be adjusted on my bike, but is typically set to ambient atmosphere pressure. The air pressure acts as a progressive spring over the complete fork travel. Depending on your elevation, you might want to adjust one way or another. In my case, I simply loosen the air screw and let it equalize. Then re tighten. (this step was accidentally left out of the video. the air pressure adjustment screw is located right next to the rebound dampening adjuster at the top of the fork tubes.)
