In this documentary, we will dismantle the mainstream historical narrative of Benito Mussolini's regime. We will explore the untold story of Fascist Italy as a revolutionary, developmental state that transformed a once broken nation. Before its disastrous alliance with Nazi Germany, Fascism in Italy was known as a popular mass movement that: restored Italy from the brink of a communist revolution, engineered an economic miracle, pioneered a new form of statecraft, and slashed mortality rates. Over the course of this video, we will trace Fascism's origins from revolutionary syndicalism through to the March on Rome, and into the construction of the Totalitarian State. We examine its relationship with anticlericalism, its protection of Jewish-Italians, and its fierce ideological opposition to Nazism. This is the history of Fascist Italy that you haven't heard before, a story of national rebirth, social revolution, and ultimately collapse-- Not because its domestic project failed, but because it dared to challenge the global order.
