I went with the Anejo Tequila I had on hand, which is Hornitos Black Barrel but use whatever you prefer in this one. For the rum version, I used Denizen Merchant's Reserve. The end result is 2 different eggnogs that are very different. In addition, I'll taste them against the relatively new Alton Brown eggnog and the one I made last year. In the video, I doubled the version below to create 4 servings before splitting it in half to make the different versions Tequila Sherry 2 large eggs 3 oz superfine or baker’s sugar (75 grams) 6 oz whole milk (180 ml) 4 oz heavy cream (120 ml) 2 oz añejo tequila (60 ml) 2½ Amontillado sherry (75 ml) Rum For the Rum version, I simply substituted the añejo tequila and Amontillado sherry with 4 oz of rum.
