On the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter, at the Cathedral of St Stephen, we celebrated the appointment of Tim Norton as Bishop. Not only was it a historical day for us in the Brisbane Archdiocese, it was also a historic day for the Divine World Missionaries as Tim Norton became the first member of his religious order to become a Bishop in Australia. During the Ordination Ceremony, Bishop Tim Norton humbly said, “I am the new kid on the block. There’s a lot for me to learn about the spirit of God in this place here in this Archdiocese, and you are the ones to teach me… We can work together in the great mission of God, in the joy of the Gospel.” We are overjoyed to have him with us!
