The Pillowman; Soundtrack by Vale V Wong - Little Jesus Theme

The Pillowman, a stageplay by Martin McDonagh is being staged in Kuala Lumpur. I've the privilege of composing the soundtrack to it as well as starring in it. The darkest piece in the play, The Little Jesus. Every artist has it within themselves to tap into great light and great darkness. Composing this piece had me venturing into the darkest places within myself, to create a tune that would end up being the preshow music as well as intermission music as well. Reason being, that the music would fill one with terrible dread. The theme is a bastardization of a famous tune, which tune? I'll let the musicians amongst you decide. So far no one has figured it out yet. Why? Possibly because the piece is too slow for people to see the thread woven together. Everytime I zone in to this piece, I shudder. I understand that for light to shine, there must be dark. But that doesn't make the dark any less scary.
