Perugia vs Zawiercie | Full Match | FINAL | Champions League Final Four Lodz 2025. The 2025 CEV Champions League Final in Łódź delivered one of the most thrilling volleyball spectacles in recent years as Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia faced Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. In front of a packed Atlas Arena, Perugia finally achieved their long-awaited dream by lifting their very first Champions League trophy after a dramatic five-set battle. The match opened with Perugia showing dominance in the first two sets, both ending 25–22, with Wassim Ben Tara and Yuki Ishikawa leading the charge and keeping Zawiercie under pressure. Their block-defense system and depth off the bench, including a late ace from Jesus Herrera, helped them take control early on. But Zawiercie refused to give in. Backed by the energy of Aaron Russell, who became the top scorer of the match, and with key support from Bartosz Kwolek and Mateusz Bieniek, the Polish side roared back into contention. They turned the momentum around, winning the third set 25–20 and carrying that fire into the fourth with a 25–22 victory, forcing the final into a thrilling tiebreaker. In the deciding set, Perugia showed their character and composure. With Ishikawa and Oleh Plotnytskyi striking at crucial moments, they quickly jumped to a 5–1 lead. Although Zawiercie tried to close the gap once more through Russell’s powerful attacks, Perugia stayed calm under pressure and sealed the title with a 15–10 finish. This victory was not only a showcase of top-level volleyball but also a historic milestone for Perugia, a team that had suffered heartbreak in previous finals and now finally reached the pinnacle of European club volleyball. The night in Łódź will be remembered for its breathtaking rallies, emotional comebacks, and the moment Perugia finally became Champions League winners.
