Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 5/16 inch yellow ring terminal for a 12 to 10 gauge size wire. Now the ring terminal here is used for all types of electrical work where wires need fastening to a stud. Usually it connects to the end of a bare wire to give a better electrical connection to that stud. Now this part here is designed to attach a 12 or 10 gauge size wire to a stud size of 5/16 of an inch diameter. Basically, your bare wire will insert into this brass sleeve portion of the terminal and then it's secured by crimping it into place. The ring terminals, you can see, are color coded using the vinyl insulation sleeve. This one you can see is a yellow color, which means it's designed to fit the 12 gauge to 10 gauge size wire. They also offer them in a blue color, which will fit a 16 to 14 gauge size wire, and a red color, which will fit a 22 to 18 gauge size wire. Basically, the higher the wire gauge number is, the smaller the size of the wire is. But that should do it for the review on the 5/16 inch yellow ring terminal for the 12 to 10 gauge size wire.
