Three main waterfalls hug the City of Ithaca, NY: Buttermilk Falls, the falls at the mouth of Cascadilla Glen, and Ithaca Falls. In this episode (216) of Walk in the Park, we take a lot at all three of them in mid-winter, after thaws have freed them from the worst of the ice that held them recently. We also look at the hemlock forest along the Bear Trail along the upper section of Buttermilk Creek in Buttermilk Falls State Park. In the second part of this episode, we go to Fair Haven Beach State Park in Cayuga County on Lake Ontario and look into its Civilian Conservation Corps heritage.
