I had the great honor to teach a week long Abstract & Collage Workshop at Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff in Boone, NC this past week! This BobBlast was filmed while I was in the workshop–doing one of my morning demos. Materials Used in the Demo: •15x15 inch Kilimanjaro, 300 lb CP •Cheap Joe’s Really Good Prime Gesso •Holbein Artist Acrylic Paint - Ultramarine Deep, Primary Magenta, Amethyst, Compose Blue #1, Hansa Yellow, Middle Green, Luminous Opera, Lamp Black, Titanium White •Assortment of hand-painted collage papers Concept for the Demo: •Woman Wearing a Fancy Dress on the Beach Composition for the Demo: •Cruciform Design Color Combination for the Demo: •Purple-Blue – Dominant (80%) •Yellow Focal – Point (10%) •Red and Green – Spice Colors (5% each) Watch the Demo to see the painting go through all many changes… It’s a fun one!
