“This segment we are going to do a grout scrub. Ceramic tile is a very durable floor and you see it a lot in commercial applications and you see it in a lot of homes too, and it works out very well. The only problem is the grout lines are always below the level of the ceramic whether it be porcelain ceramic or whatever kind of flooring you have. So what happens is the grout becomes dingy over a period of time and really needs to be scrubbed and cleaned. Regular mopping of course is important, mopping and vacuuming, but it’s just not enough to deep clean it which I think you need to do periodically. What Will is going to do is pour some neutral floor cleaner mix on the floor. Again, what we call flooding the floor which isn’t as bad as it sounds, but what it does is get a lot of chemical mixture on the floor so that we can use a machine to agitate it. We will use a brush on slow speed machine which will dig down into the grout lines and clean those out effectively. Will is going to agitate with a hand brush before he gets to the low speed and that little narrow brush over by his right side is his grout brush that actually brushes between the grout lines or in the grout lines so you can really agitate that soil down in the grout lines. In a lot of cases there are ceramics or porcelains that are a very ruff surface like kind of a slate surface. And in a lot of cases those tiles themselves will trap dirt in the ceramic tile itself. Again this process will clean those, get rid of that dirt, and bring a new look back to the tile again. Now using a red pad, Will is going to use the low speed machine to agitate in a mixture of neutral floor cleaner he has down. He is using a red pad here. You could use a brush or a red pad depending on how deep the grout line is from the top of the ceramic. Sometimes the brush can be more effective. It just depends on the application. Now Will is going to use the wet vacc to soak up all of the chemicals so we can start cleaning up all that soap off the ground that he has put down. He is cleaning the baseboards. That low speed machine does tend to sling the cleaner and the fluids off to the sides and onto the baseboards. This is a dry microfiber mop pad. There you go. Clean ceramic floor.” For over 25 years Jan-Pro has provided top quality service to a variety of customers.
