Armed gang raid a bank in Maghull and leave the staff terrified - Daily Mail

The masked men were filmed breaking into a Barclays bank in Walton, Liverpool just before Christmas in 2011 before they later targeted a branch in Magull. Footage of their earlier raid on County Road showed the gang smashing the glass door of the bank before crawling through the broken panel. After gaining entry the masked raiders found a stash of money and made off with £98,700. CCTV of the second raid (pictured) showed three of the six-man group gaining entry to the Magull branch as the alarm caused a cloud of smoke to fill the room. On this occasion the gang were unable to get hold of any cash and were forced to flee the branch empty handed. Yesterday the six men behind the raids were jailed for a total 83 years.
