Healthcare systems across the world are under rising pressures – diseases are more complex, and populations are ageing, all on a backdrop of a global shortage of healthcare workers. Technology is often looked at as the solution – but driving change in healthcare is hard! Videha explores how a design-led approach is critical to innovating with purpose and having an impact at scale. Videha is the Clinical Innovation Lead for the Pankhurst Institute at the University of Manchester, UK. He has a PhD in Health Informatics and completed fellowships in Digital Health, Medical Leadership and Clinical Entrepreneurship. A surgeon by training, he now has a portfolio career bridging the gap between healthcare and technology. His work aims to impact patient care by translating new and emerging innovations into clinical practice.
