When I saw Brianna Fraser's Wedding Dress in the Season 5 opener of Outlander, I knew this was something I wanted to make one day. It went onto my Pinterest board, but then not much happened, until the perfect opportunity arrived. Atlanta Historic Dance partnered with the Northeast Georgia History Center to put on the Fraser's Ridge Wedding Ball, which I, as a member of both parties, organized. Part of the ball was going to be a reenactment of Brianna Fraser and Rodger Wakefield saying their marriage vows and it was decided that my husband and I would play Brianna and Rodger. So of course, we needed proper outfits. I decided to make Brianna's wedding dress in a more historically accurate manner than the show portrays it as, because that is what I do, and also I want to be able to wear it more places. I am considering entering this piece in a cosplay competition. What do you think? It was my 1st time organizing a ball, and I feel like I learned a lot. More videos coming soon...
