We Are Able: Perspectives of Transitioning Young Adults with Disabilities [CC]

Transition to adulthood is a challenging process for all young people, but it can be particularly challenging for youth with disabilities and special health care needs. "We Are Able" is a 15-minute film that aims to raise awareness of some of these issues, and offers suggestions for how policy makers and health care professionals can help. This film was created by the Massachusetts Young Adult Advisory Council, an initiative of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Partners for Youth with Disabilities. Support for the film was provided through a grant from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (Health Resources and Services Administration, US Department of Health and Human Services). The film was produced and edited by Julie Polvinen.
