The Gili islands in Indonesia are famous, touristy and a destination for many backpackers who visit Lombok or Bali. Why? The Gilis are quite, the sand is beautiful, the ocean crystal clear and the bars are fun. You can also go diving, snorkeling, and party if you want to. It really depends on what you want: ---- Gili Meno: really, really really quite! Nothing much to do! Just chill! Gili Trawangan/Gili T: the island of party and mushrooms. Gili Air: just in the middle - not too quite, not too much party! You can have some drinks here, there some nightlife, some bars, nice food, but still not as much party as on Gili Trawangan By the way, it is really easy to travel from Bali or Lombok to the Gili islands.
