Russian President Vladamir Putin called the operation a "special military operation." In the two days that followed, foreign journalists at the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s press conference took turns asking: Does China consider Russia's actions an invasion? Will China condemn it? In response, a Chinese spokesman played word games, refusing to call Russia's actions an invasion. Those ambiguous expressions reflect Beijing's dilemma. Perhaps many politicians of the West have not yet realized that the CCP is the biggest threat to the world's democracies.
