Following the deaths of seven people, health officials across the country have issued warnings about the dangers of vaping steps. In this second episode of Mount Sinai Spotlight, Karen Wilson, MD, MPH, Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, discusses the dangers of vaping. Dr. Wilson's primary research interests are in understanding the relationship between secondhand tobacco smoke exposure and severity of illness in children hospitalized for respiratory illness, and how to improve outcomes in hospitalized children.
