Klausenpass is a spectacular scenic drive road in Switzerland. The Klausen pass is 1948 metres above sea level and the road leads from Linthal in the Glarus region over the Urnerboden and down the pass into the Schächen valley to Altdorf in the canton of Uri. The journey along this pass road offers wonderful views of the mountains of the Swiss Alps. Between 1922 and 1934, a mountain race for cars and motorbikes was held on the Klausen Pass. This Klausen race was later held again in 1993, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2013 with vintage vehicles.
