Students are the most important stakeholder in the education process and the least consulted. If a student is not told they are cared about and that their voice matters in a classroom of 30, there is no way they will be inclined to vote in a country with 270 million eligible voters. This has huge implications for how we’re preparing students for life outside of K-12 education and the future of our country. Ian Coon has given talks all over the United States, some of them are: *Panel discussion at Iowa Association of School Boards conference 2015 *Iowa Technology and Education Conference 2015 His talks are focused on education reform and student voice.
