Most Christians can’t explain why the Cross was necessary. “God forgives” sounds nice, until you actually think about it. Why can’t an all-powerful God simply forgive humanity without becoming man? What problem does salvation really solve, God’s anger, legal guilt, moral failure, or death itself? And if Christ truly conquered death, why isn’t salvation instant? In this episode, we dismantle the modern Christian misunderstanding of salvation as a legal transaction or a one-time decision. We explore why the Trinity is not a contradiction, why the Incarnation was unavoidable, and why salvation in Orthodox Christianity is not passive belief, but participation in divine life. This conversation challenges the shallow answers, exposes false assumptions, and asks the question few Christians are prepared to face: If Christ defeated death, why does it still take time to become fully alive? This is not motivational faith. It’s theological reality.
