LineageOS 18.1 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series of smartphones and I'll be showing you how to install it. ~~~~~ Hi! Don't forget to hit the "Thanks" button on this video, if you can, and join our channel community here -    / @explainingandroid   Video Description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a week of a delay due to builds being removed, I'm now able to show you how to download and install the Lineage OS custom ROM on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. This only works for the Exynos variants though, as they need to have the bootloader unlocked before you can proceed. Follow the tutorial linked below if you haven't unlocked your bootloader yet. Then go ahead and download the ROM as well as the custom recovery for your version of the smartphone (currently 3 supported models). And from here we can start by installing the LineageOS custom recovery. I use Heimdall in this video as it's recommended in the documentation but the maintainer of this ROM says you can rename the custom recovery .IMG file to .TAR and flash it via Odin if you want. (I was unable to install it properly using this method, though) With the custom recovery installed, we then need to boot directly into it (without booting into Android) so we can format the /data partition. This needs to be done to wipe out the encryption (which will get set up again once the new ROM is installed). With the data partition formatted, go into ADB Sideload mode and issue the command as instructed. This will both send the ROM over to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, as well as install it to the smartphone. Follow along with me and you'll see it doesn't take much time at all. With the ROM installed, boot the Galaxy Note 10+ into Android and activate Lineage OS like you normally would.
