Many consider that the history of this world is a history of war. As such, we ask ourselves the perplexing question: "Is War Necessary?" As we study and contemplate the scriptures, we can come to the conclusion that the answer to that question, in many cases, is Yes. As nations are often compelled to war, we care deeply, and pray for, not only innocents caught in the midst of conflict, but also for those soldiers who are called upon to preserve our freedoms. Throughout such turmoil, we also come to realize the eternal truth that there is perhaps nothing stronger than the prayer of a mother for her sons.
