His Divinity, Our Humanity; His Humanity, Our Divinity In this week’s Global Broadcast, Ariel springboards off the teaching in Asher’s book, “Who Ate Lunch With Abraham,” contemplating the mystery of the Incarnation of Yeshua and why it was necessary to the redemptive plan of God. Why did Yeshua need to become fully born as a man when He had already appeared in the form of a man throughout the Tenach (Old Testament)? We don’t preach a gospel that begins with the birth of Yeshua in the New Covenant, but one that is consistent with the messianic promises from the beginning of creation. Yeshua came to fully identify with humanity by being conceived in Miriam’s womb. He did so in order to redeem the whole human race, and to completely endorse the divine significance of mankind in the heart of God. His willingness to die, to save us from sin and death, and to imbue us with His nature demonstrates how much He loves us and how much He values human life. These truths form the foundation of Judeo-Christian civilization with its value of the dignity and worth of every person made in the image of God—whether male or female, regardless of background or ethnicity or socio-economic status—from the womb to the grave. Understanding the significance of the Incarnation and God’s desire to restore mankind to our original design of moral integrity and dignity is in stark contrast to the increasing evil in these end of days, especially the violent attacks of the Beast and the seduction of the Harlot described in the book of the Revelation.
