A very fitting character mash-up! Contains all fighters from Smash 64 and Melee, and any respective echo fighters. 1) Mario as Spyro: This might seem like a strange first choice, as they look nothing alike, but they have similar qualities. They are both mascots of large game series in addition leading their own series, and both can master multiple elemental attacks, but tend to use fire. 2) Donkey Kong as Turbo Charge Donkey Kong: Duh. In 2015, Skylanders released two unique "Skymiibo" figures that doubled as both Skylanders and amiibo. 3) Link as Doom Stone: "The 3 Links" of Smash were each represented by Skylanders sword fighters that reflected the overall theme of each Link's game. Breath of the Wild features a lot of stone architecture and ancient technology, and Doom Stone embodies this perfectly. 4) Samus as Blast Zone: Their faceless suits of armor look similar, and they both use lots of explosion attacks. 5) Dark Samus as Dark Blast Zone: Conveniently, Blast Zone had a dark variant. 6) Yoshi as Chopper: Both are wacky, tiny dinosaurs that can often be seen with their tongues sticking out. 7) Kirby as Wrecking Ball: Both are childlike, ball-shaped creatures that attack by eating enemies. 8) Fox as Flare Wolf: I know Flare Wolf is a Wolf, but both him and Fox look very similar, using blaster-like weapons. 9) Pikachu as Drobot: This may seem like a strange choice, but both are animal-like fighters that utilize electricity. Plus, choosing Drobot as Pikachu gives Pichu a perfect Skylander matchup. 10) Luigi as Dark Spyro: This choice stems from Luigi's original purpose as being nothing more than a palette swap of Mario. Both have unique-colored fire attacks, and Luigi has a darker side as seen when he's hunting ghosts. 11) Ness as Blastermind: Both utilize similar psychic attacks such as orbs and telekinesis. 12) Captain Falcon as Flameslinger: They have the same confidence and charisma, and focus on fire-based attacks. 13) Jigglypuff as Pop Thorn: Both are very floaty and puffy. 'Nuff said. 14) Peach as Whirlwind: Both are very dainty, with a love of rainbows and all all things beautiful. 15) Daisy as Boom Bloom: They have a similar outgoing personality, and Boom Bloom's focus on "flower power" attacks relates to Daisy's overall theme. 16) Bowser as Hammer Slam Bowser: Duh. 17) Ice Climbers as Wallop: I know there's a big difference in muscle mass here, but both characters utilize two hammers in their attacks. 18) Sheik as Stealth Elf: This was a pretty clear choice; they are both female ninjas that use blades and disappearing tricks in combat. 19) Zelda as Flashwing: Their color schemes are similar, and Flashwing's fancy purple crystals relate to Zelda's magical crystal-based attacks and royalty. 20) Dr. Mario as Dr. Krankase: You might think I chose this just because both have "doctor" in their name, and you're mostly right. However, Dr. Krankase often puns relating to medical doctors when attacking. 21) Pichu as Drobit: Drobit is basically a baby version of Drobot, Pikachu's Skylander, similar to Pichu's relationship to Pikachu. Plus, both utilize electrical attacks. 22) Falco as Jet-Vac: This matchup was probably one of the most fitting. Besides looking strikingly similar, both utilize a blaster in their attacks and have the daring of a military pilot. 23) Marth as Chop Chop: They are both arguably the most basic sword fighters in their respective games. Plus, Chop Chop being a skeleton can relate to the fact that Marth is like the "ancestor of Fire Emblem" and was born much earlier than any other Fire Emblem Smash fighters. 24) Lucina as Aurora: They are both female sword fighters who gained their reputation by going to combat in disguise. 25) Young Link as Ambush: This Link is based on Ocarina of Time, which focuses on forests and grasslands. Ambushes face also looks similar to Link's when he got turned into a Deku Scrub in Majora's Mask. 26) Ganondorf as Eye Brawl: Both are burly kings of the undead who have the ability to summon undead entities. 27) Mewtwo as Enigma: Both are basically all-powerful psychic beings, utilizing psyblast, confusion, mind control, and teleportation attacks. 28) Roy as Ignitor: They're both sword fighters heavily based on fire attacks. 29) Chrom as Wash Buckler: They have similar outfits and a more serious disposition. 30) Mr. Game & Watch as Blackout: Blackout is the only monochrome black Skylander. There are no Skylanders with attacks based on the limitations of ancient game consoles! Credit to "SkyCharacters TV" and "CrystalBlazier" for gameplay videos.
