Westjet 127 | Calgary (YYC) - Vancouver (YVR) | Trip Report 2018

After arriving in Calgary on Westjet Link 3003 from Lethbridge I had just over an hour before my flight to Vancouver. I spent it like I do any layover, I went around and took video of other flights there lol. I made it to the gate just as they were calling my zone for boarding (talk about good timing ;)), while waiting to push-back another Westjet flight arrived beside us just coming in from Vancouver was a nice little surprise before we left. We pushed back on time and taxied out, we took off on Runway 17R getting a nice view of Calgary as we went out. It was a nice flight had a snack of pretzels and apple juice while watching football on the live TV monitor. While flying over Kelowna I saw the wildfires burning just outside the city on both sides of Lake Okanagan. While on approach into Vancouver flying in the same direction we were was a Dash 8 Q400 flying underneath us not sure if it was flying to Vancouver as well we overtook him and I didn't see him again after that. We landed in Vancouver on runway 26R, it was a nice smooth landing after vacating the runway I looked back to see if any other planes were coming in after us and sure enough there was. A Qantas Boeing 747 I was quite excited to see that aircraft as you can tell in the video lol. We pulled into our gate on time. Overall I had an enjoyable time onboard I have never had a bad experience with Westjet the people there have always been kind and polite with me and I always enjoy flying with them.
