Quedex (C64 Longplay)

Published in 1987 on the Commodore 64 by Thalamus. Known as Mindroll in North America. Programmed by Stavros Fasoulas. His final release before being summoned by the Finnish Defence Forces! Quedex is essentially 10 separate levels which must all be completed as quickly as possible. Time remaining is carried forward. They can be tackled in any order by pressing 0-9 on the keyboard. What's really innovative about this feature is that the difficulty increases the longer it's left. For example, level 1 is nice and short if tackled first.....but if left towards the end there are more squares to traverse, and more items to collect. All levels follow this pattern - some more subtle than others. A brilliant feature for its time, which certainly increases replayability. Matt Gray provided the sonics.
