1950 World Congress of Peace - Sheffield, England 13th Nov to Warsaw, Poland 19th: photo documentary This important historical document has been uploaded as part of the "Boy With Dove" sculpture project (artist Anthony D Padgett working with the International Brigade Memorial Trust, the Basque Children of 1937 Association and Sheffield Trades Council) to mark the 75th Anniversary of Picasso's visit to England for the World Congress of Peace in 1950 - and Picasso's support for the Republican cause and the plight of the Basques - notably with the creation of the painting Guernica. There are 2 sculptures. One is to be sited in Weston Park, Sheffield, and the other is at MVA Cultural Centre C. Ollerías, 34, Distrito Centro, 29012 Málaga, Spain.
