Auditorium "Claudio Monteverdi", Conservatorio "Lucio Campiani", Mantova (Italy). March 2016. Francisco Martínez-Ramos was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). He started his musical studies at the local Conservatory and with private teachers. Later, he studied in Madrid with Joaquín Soriano, in Philadelphia with Susan Starr and in London with Maria Curcio. He also received advice from Galyna Neporozhnya. He has participated in Masterclasses given by pianists such as Dimitri Bashkirov, Guillermo González, Malcolm Frager, Paul Badura-Skoda, Joaquín Achúcarro, Michele Campanella, Emanuel Ax, etc. He received first prizes in various competitions. He has performed with conductors such as Antoni Wit, Adrian Leaper, José Ramón Encinar, Enrique García Asensio, Havid Sánchez, Max Bragado, Miguel Roa, Marc Mostovoy, Françes Llongueres, Gregorio Gutiérrez, and with orquestras such as Gran Canaria Philharmonic, Las Palmas Symphony, Maracaibo Symphony , Madrid Symphony, Pottstown Symphony and Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, performing also with musicians such as the violinists Michael Ludwig, Agustín León Ara, Mikhail Vostokov, Mariana Abacioae, Caonex Peguero-Camilo and cellists Rafael Ramos, and Serguei Mikhailov. He has offered numerous concerts in cities like Krakow, Madrid, Santander, New York, Trossingen, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Caracas, Santo Domingo, and in all the Canary Islands. He has played in music festivals like the Musical Festival of the Canary Islands (Spain), the Mozart on the Square in Philaldephia (USA) and the II Internationale Trossinger Tastentage (Germany) He has recorded for radio and television, for the Rals project and for the English label ASV. His performances have been heard in important radio stations like France Musique (Radio France) or Radio Clásica (Radio Nacional de España). He holds a PhD from University of La Laguna and he is Piano Professor at Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León.
