XPeng G6 Test and Review – Can it Compete with the TESLA MODEL Y?

All versions come with the same standard equipment, with the only optional extra being the tow hook. It uses the XPeng SEPA 2.0 platform with a 92 kWh gross battery (87 kWh usable) and 800V architecture. The tested version delivers 210 kW of power (286 hp), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. The WLTP certified range is 570 km. ⸻ 02:22 - XPeng G6 Exterior The design of the XPeng G6 is clean, with an aerodynamic approach and elegant details. The front features LED headlights running across the full width, combined with integrated sensors and cameras for ADAS functions. It comes with 20-inch wheels and flush door handles that deploy when the owner’s phone is detected. The rear includes a spoiler with a brake light and a spacious 571-liter trunk with a double floor for cable storage. It can add 200 km (41.4 kWh) in just 12 and a half minutes. For AC charging, it supports up to 11 kW. Advanced features include scheduled charging and detailed charge status visualization. Throttle response is generally good, though it shows a slight delay in some situations. ⸻ 20:31 - XPeng G6 Interior and Technology The interior is spacious, with quality materials and a sober design in dark tones. It features a large central touchscreen, a customizable secondary display, and ventilated seats with electronic adjustments. The panoramic roof spans the entire cabin, although it lacks a sunshade. Technology includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, high-resolution 360-degree cameras, and a mobile app with numerous control features.
