You CAN 3D print food-safe parts!

Despite what you may have heard, it is 100% possible to use an FDM printer to make food-safe objects, without any special coatings. All you need is a stainless steel nozzle, HIPS plastic from Fillamentum, and some limonene (or "D-limonene"). The traditional way to make food-safe printed parts is to cover the parts with a silicone coating, but I'm not a fan of this solution. If the coating chips, or if it doesn’t cover the whole part, then it doesn’t work . And, frankly, you could make a food-safe dog turd this way, but that's not really what people are asking for: we want the plastic part itself to be food-safe.
