In America we consume 100,000,000 plastic drinking straws everyday. Yowza! I say consume, because most of them are not (or cannot) be recycled, partly because of the plastic polymer they are made with, but also because they are too small to be captured by mechanical sorting. Reusable glass straws are a great alternative to this wasteful, single-use of plastic, which is truly an amazing resource better used for more durable purposes. The OMG team...
