Kevin VanDam worked with the engineers at ‪@LewsFishing‬ to build four Signature Series casting rods for his favorite fishing techniques. The first rod is a 6’ 10” Jerkbait rod with a medium-heavy action. This rod has an extra-fast tip with plenty of backbone for snapping a jerkbait. The handle is exactly the right length for comfortably working this type of bait. The second rod is a 7’ 0” medium action that is the perfectly designed rod for small topwater baits and lighter baits. This rod has a really fast tip and a little less backbone to cast light lures accurately around cover. The third rod is the foundational piece in many of VanDam’s tactics. This rod is a 7’ 0” medium-heavy action, the perfect all-purpose rod. VanDam loves to use this rod to cast big top water baits or with spinnerbaits around bushes, lay downs and docks. This rod is also great for skipping a jig or fishing with a Thunder Cricket. The last rod is a composite 7’ 0” Cranking rod. This rod has a shorter handle to easily cast squarebill crankbaits around docks and laydowns with accuracy.
