We started the day with breakfast at C&T Cafe, a hidden gem German café just outside Rhyl town centre. From there, it was straight into classic British seaside territory with fish and chips at Windsor Cafe, a long-standing local chippy that’s got a proper nostalgic feel. I walked the Rhyl seafront, explored the arcades, checked out the high street and promenade, and saw what’s really going on behind the headlines calling this place the worst seaside town in Britain. But the highlight? Easily Thisha Curry House, a Sri Lankan curry spot serving one of the best lamb curries I’ve ever had. Rich, deep, full of flavour. We wrapped things up at FullaFlavourz, where I tucked into proper jerk chicken and a beautifully cooked curry goat. A serious end to the day.
