Most people are trying to sell you the quick fix to your back issues. Newsflash... if you've been dealing with back pain for greater than 6 months, that's probably not going to help you! Short term pain relief strategies can be immensely helpful when your in the midst of a low back pain flare up, however, they aren't going to solve your issue and reduce your risk of it coming back again. Stretching the pain away, massaging the pain away, and endlessly taking medications probably isn't your best long term strategy. Long term it is crucial you develop strategies to manage flare-ups, understand the importance of the FITT principle in relation to exercise and managing your pain, AND, that in order to see improvements it usually takes much more time and consistency than previously thoughts.
