A 33-year-old soldier of the Indian Army was beaten to death by a DMK councillor and his aides following a dispute over washing clothes near a water tank in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri. On February 8, the soldier identified as Prabhu and DMK member Chinnasamy got into a heated exchange over washing clothes near a tank in the Pochampalli area.
