Assessing the relative impacts of maximum investment rate and temporal detail in the capacity expansion models applied to power systems Speaker: Thomas Heggarty Thomas has been working as a researcher for RTE, the French electricity transmission system operator, since 2017. He obtained an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a PhD from Mines Paris – PSL, focusing on the optimal mix of power system flexibility. His research interests include long-term energy system planning and market design for well-coordinated sector coupling. He is active in reinforcing the link between academia and industry.
