During Easter, a large religious procession takes place here, passing along the steps of Calvary. This is one of the biggest parades in Majorca, attracting a large crowd of spectators every year. A parade of people climbs the steps to the chapel at the top. Later, the figure of Christ is ritually removed from the cross and then everyone returns to the city.
