WHAT IS IT LIKE TO DRIVE A 40 FOOT MOTORCOACH OVER THE VIRGINIA'S CHESAPEAKE BAY BRIDGE/TUNNEL

In this video, we drive across the very unique Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. This bridge was designed in 1958 and was completed in 1964. The Bridge/Tunnels runs the length of 17.6 mile or (28 km). It was design to connect from shore to shore along the Chesapeake Bay and consists mostly of low trestle that carry two lane highways in both directions. During the design process, the designers ran into the unique problem of adding tunnels to the bridge. The reason for this, if the bridge ever fell under attack or was ever destroyed and fell into the Bay, It would effectively stop the navel ships from leaving port. Driving this bridge/tunnel is not for the faint of heart and requires total concentration while crossing particularly in larger vehicles.
