Doom 4 Vanilla is a vanilla-compatible wad for Doom (obviously), replacing many of the graphics, sounds and music with renditions similar to the 2016 game, also titled DOOM. It uses very extensive DeHackEd work to achieve this, and is a very impressive and exhaustive effort. It's also playable in a pure vanilla environment, as demonstrated by this video. It aims to bring the Doom 4 feeling to the original game. Scythe is one of the pack-in wads that D4V comes with, so I run through the first 10 maps before getting toasted by some dangerous enemies. Captured from my Windows 98 computer using an ATI All-in-Wonder via S-video, and a Sound Blaster 16 CT2290. (As an aside, I skip map07 without releasing it's not broken. I just assumed the tags were bugged, because they normally are with this mod due to the extensive hacks.)
