It's especially frustrating if you happen to try to make a living out of your videos. I at this point in time am not planning to make any living from Youtube, considering the fact that demonetization exists and it can wipe my channel clean from earning any money because I hate playing guessing game with site's algorithm. With fake copyright claim, all money earned goes to claimant instead of original uploader. And filing a dispute on Youtube doesn't work most of the time, especially when claimant is actually company/corporation instead of an individual person. Rejected dispute leads to copyright strike, and then original uploader falls into the trap of giving literally their own personal information if it means to have ANY hope that copyright will be released. A lot of people rely on Youtube's way of disputing a copyright. But it's actually broken as well, which is the reason why a lot of channels got terminated. So, if you really wanna have a chance to fight back, contact the claimant directly if possible. And I say ''if possible'', because it also happened and to others that claimants are legitimate thieves who are making fake companies.
