Welcome back for Part 2 of my 2000 RM250 Rebuild. If you haven't already please watch Part 1 here for context: • I'm Building Another RM250 | Part 1 In this second part, I modify the silencer off my 1996 RM125 parts bike to fit the 250 (since I need a pipe with a spark arrestor), rebuild the shock from the 125 parts bike to use on this build (since it has the correct spring rate for my weight), and replace the seized linkage bearings. I also made the shocking discovery that the linkage was installed without the inner race/spacer on one of the bearings, which caused damage to the swingarm, washers, and pivot bolt. Can you believe that negligence?! 😡 Get ready for Part 3 coming soon, in which we'll tear into the engine, rebuild the forks, and possibly install a new seat cover (maybe I'll make my own?)...
